A week of L.O.V.E.

"I loved you yesterday
I love you still
I always have...
I always will."

Hello there! Boy, have I missed my little blog! Back in action just in time for one of the very best holidays... love is in the air and Valentine's Day is right around the corner! I am so very excited to celebrate this "week of love"(as I like to call it). I have tons of lovey-dovey stuff to share with all of you...the story of us, our engagement annnddd a super sneak peek into our one year anniversary (Ooo, I can't believe it has almost been one year...time flies when you're having fun)! This week holds such a special place in our hearts. So many of the most exciting and life changing events have occurred during the month of February. I am anxious to journal these memories over the next couple of days. 'Til then, my friends! Have a fabulous weekend, keep smiling and get your LUV on! ;) xo

One Hundred Days

Fruit Loop Necklaces
Check out their shirts!

100th Day Hats

Sorting Fruit Loops by color in groups of 10 to 100

Almost done!

Today was our 100th day of school in my first grade classroom. All in all, I have to say, it was a perfect day filled with lots of paint, hat making, fruit loop necklaces, a Hershey kiss scavenger hunt and ice cream sundaes with colorful sprinkles. (Sorry for the so-so pictures...my camera had no battery power and for some reason the iPhone just wasn't doing the trick!) I enjoyed it and I hope my class did, too.
Happy 100th Day, friends. On to the next 80...I think we can handle it.

Trending Two

Another trend that I am loving at the moment...Baubles & Lace. Something about the girlie softness of lace mixed with the sparkle and shine of gems and jewels just gets me giddy. A statement necklace, bracelet or ring can make any ordinary look feel rich and glamorous.

So, where can you find these spectacular trinkets? Here are a couple of my favorite places...

Spinach Dip & Pumpernickel Bread

It's game day! This calls for a yummy appetizer...Enjoy!

Makes 4 Cups of Dip...Prep. Time 10 Minutes...Chill Time: 2 Hours

1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, cooked, cooled and squeezed dry
1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
1 cup Hellman's Real Mayonnaise
1 Package Knorr Vegetable recipe mix
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped (optional)
3 green onions, chopped (optional)

Combine all ingredients and chill about 2 hours. Serve with your favorite dippers.

Serving Tip: I like to hollow out a Pumpernickel Loaf, fill with dip and place on a cheese board. Use the leftover bread to dip, add crackers, pepper jack cheese, pepperoni and some mixed veggies for a yummy assortment.

I'll be sure to add a picture of the final product later today...didn't want you guys to miss out on the recipe just in case you were still searching for something easy for tonight's big game! Go Pats!

One of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe ... "The Jacket" "The Blazer" "The Suit Coat" "The Boyfriend Blazer". However you put it, they are just fantastic. Need to finish off an outfit? Use a blazer to help pull your look together. Don't be afraid to mix it up with black skinnies, jeans, or a flowy skirt. Pop on a structured jacket, add some sparkles/pearls and you will immediately be one chic and polished individual. ;)

Pizza, plans and a puppy

I don't know about all of you, but I for one am ecstatic that Friday is finally here. This afternoon I enjoyed a drink with some of my favorite teacher friends. I absolutely love spending time with them catching up and relaxing- in my opinion, the most perfect way to end a long work week . Tonight, we called out for some veggie pizza and subs from a local pizza shop. Friday night pizza = pure bliss.

As for the rest of the weekend...tomorrow morning calls for early morning coffee and b-fast at Starbucks with one of my favorites (Kallie) before we teach/dance/choreograph at the local high school, a little bit of house cleaning, food shopping, and some Super Bowl prep for Sunday's big game! We will be watching and celebrating =) with some dear friends. So fun!

Here's to the weekend, loves. Enjoy, stay safe and have fun.

New Girl...so me.

Do you watch New Girl? Well...you should. Here is the best quote ever that most definitely sums up my life...
"I brake for birds. I rock a lot of polka dots. I have touched glitter within the last 24 hours. I spend my entire day talking to children. And I find it fundamentally strange that you're not a dessert person... I hate your pant suit, I wish it had ribbons on it, or something to make it just slightly cuter. And that doesn't mean I'm not smart and tough and strong... AND my checks have baby farm animals on them, B****!" --Jess (Zooey Deschanel)
And what.
