Consignment Boutiques

Thrifting. How do you feel about it? I know that many women have opposing views on the topic. I have to say that I greatly enjoy an afternoon shopping around in one of my favorite shabby chic consignment boutiques. There are a couple of them in my little town and I like to visit them often. I always seem to find many of the most wanted trends for such a major discount. Why pay more when you can pay less? And hey, don't get me wrong, I am a total spender and always have been. I absolutely love to splurge every once in a while, but for trends that tend to disappear so quickly, this is the way to go.

Today's visit was all about...yep, you guessed it...the trend of the moment...leopard and animal print. And boy did I score! I purchased a gorgeous cheetah print belt for $3.00, a pair of Anthropologie high waisted sailor pants for $12.00 and wild leopard leggings for $5.00...for a total of...$20.00. I did some research (find full priced items here, here and here) and found that if I were to buy these items at the mall or a specialty store I would have spent close to $240.00! Whoa baby. Can you believe it?

Today's 'vintage adventure' = great success.

  2. I really love thrifting but never seem to find anything! I usually have better luck finding things for the home than clothing. Great job!
